The Saddleback Pork Shoulder Joint is very suited to slow roasting. The interspersed fat layers within the meat tissue creates a natural basting effect as it cooks creating a rich juicy meat, best enjoyed with a crisp white wine to compliment the dish.
The quality of our pedigree pork shoulder joint makes for a delicious joint perfect for slow roasting. Well suited to marinating and ideal for pulled pork dishes, just don’t overdo it on the rub and feel the tender meat just melt away in your mouth.
Try roasting on a bed of onion and carrots to release the porky juices and serve with ragout pulses, shallots, bacon and a large helping of grain mustard. Yum!
